I was hoping to get on a three-week wash and retwist cycle but my new job is kicking my butt. You can read about a little more about all of that here. So I didn't get a chance to wash my locs until this past Thursday evening and I won't lie, my re-twist was half-baked :) I was so tired and just wanted to finish, I didn't let them dry enough. Truthfully I'm just happy to have clean hair!
Even with the lack of loving care this month, I was happy to see fuller locs even with stagnant length. Shrinkage, maybe? Am I imagining the change?
On a side note, I wanted to encourage everyone out there concerned about starting locs while job searching. It's possible! I not only got a new job but also a promotion within one month. That's the short version of the story but know that your intelligence, experience, interview skills and appropriate overall grooming play a major role in a job offer. Keep your head up and go get those locs :)

your locs are looking pretty awesome...how many do you have?
Thanks Chizzy! The rough count is about 50. One day I'll get an exact number.
i counted mine today and its 102-105...it began around 140 though..
I think the next set of locs i get around 80...hmm maybe i'll just keep combining.
Congrats! And, the locs are looking fuller and fab. Did you use the Nubian Kinks on this reloc?
Nice and thick.. Looking good!
Your hair is very pretty. I love the size of your locs, too.
I agree! I love the way they are shaping up! Congrats on the new job and promotion! Who said natural hair isn't professional?! You go, girl!
Thank you ladies for all the encouragement!
Tasha - I did use Nubian Kinks. The next reloc I'll try mixing the Oyin Handmade products.
Kim - thank you :)
